5 days ago, Nintendo released Switch FW 8.0.0 which closed a couple of security holes while also bringing about a couple of minor but welcome additions. Now, Atmosphere 0.8.8 has been released so that you could enjoy the new features while still having a hacked console!
0.8.5 is Atmosphère's twelfth official release.
As it often happens, firmware updates break CFW compatibility and FW 7.0.0 is no exception even though its keys were cracked within hours. Fast forwarding about 3 weeks and a half, FW 7.0.0’s days of not having a CFW ended as Atmosphère 0.8.4 got released with support for both 7.0.0 and 7.0.1!

Nintendo dropped firmware update 6.2.0 for its Switch console. As often, the only official changelog states this update improves stability.
On the scene side, however, Word on the street is that this update breaks Custom Firmware compatibility, for all known CFWs. (That is, of course, for people who are running a CFW and choose to update, a very strange move in my book but who am I to judge.)
